Thanksgiving it is...

Howdy agin' ya'll,
How is ever'body, huh? Well us'ns is doing just peachy. Yesterday we enjoyed a downright good dinner and then spent the afternoon visiting and playing games with some good folks. I got the socks beat off'n me, but other than that I had a good time. I got so many things to be thankful for this year and I am glad that I really AM thankful!!!!!!!!
The beginning of this year was not a good start but it got real gooder in September. The call that I had been wanting finally came!! From then on it has just gotten better and better. I can relate to my family again and the peace and harmony that we have is wonderful. I am glad that when some things don't just go smoothly that I can now pray and know that the Creator of the Universe will actually hear me and take care of the situation. It is a sad state of affairs when you need to be able to pray and know that you can't because your heart is not right with God. Today I am so thankful that I am saved and God has enabled me to live without sin and will do so in the future if I rely on His grace and power. The Bible plainly states that we must live without sin and that if we have sin in our life when we die then we will not go to heaven!! So much for the once saved always saved doctrine right? Also I am thankful for the fact that God has made His salvation such that the sinful nature can be removed and His Spirit can indwell us and help us to live sinfree. Afterall sin is a WILLFULL transgression of God's law. If you don't willfully disobey what He commands then how can you sin otherwise?
Anyway, I am thankful for all the blessings that God has showered me with. What are you thankful for???

When Peace Like a River...

Howdy agin' ya'll,
How have you'uns been? Well, good, glad ya'll is doing jus' finer than a frog hair and twice as soupey. On this end there ain't nuthin' much happening other than school. I am almost done with it and can't wait for it to be done with!!!!! Me Queen is trying to talk me into going another semester or two and getting a double degree but I'm feeling that I need a break or sumthin' or other.
I am thinking that I might need to update since my page is a little behind and I like for other people to do the same. I don't know how I got so far behind since I have school to take care of. I also am enjoying listening to the revival CDs since I didn't get to go to the revival until Saturday nite. It is a blessing to sit and listen to the messages and know that I am clear before God and man. Since God delivered me from myself in September I have enjoyed the peace that comes with the forgiveness of sins. It gives me peace to know that the things that I did before I don't have to do in the future. I am also thankful that things that used to bother me in the past don't do so now and that gives me peace!!! I am also thankful that my Queenie and kids stayed true and that gave me a chance to get back to God. By God's grace I will endeavor to stay true to God myself and maybe be able to give someone else an opportunity to get saved.
